รู้ไหมว่า... / Did you know that...?

- ตอนอยู่ประมาณมอต้นเราเคยส่งจดหมายไปประกาศหาเพื่อนในหนังสือเธอกับฉัน เชื่อหรือไม่ว่าช่วงนั้นเราได้จดหมายจากคนที่สนใจจะเป็น penpal กะเราวันล่ะไม่ต่ำกว่า 10 ฉบับ บางวันมีถึง 30 ฉบับ ขำมาก จำได้ว่ามีเพื่อนคนนึงชื่อจูดี้ (ชื่อเหมือนหมาเลยอะ)เขียนหากันอยู่นานทีเดียว แต่ในที่สุดก็ค่อยๆ เลิกไป เพราะตอนนั้นเริ่มไม่ชอบผู้หญิง 555
- When I was in secondary school, I advertised myself in a penpal column of this really famous teen magazine and believe it or not, I received at least 10, or on a really peak day, 30 letters a day. I corresponded with this girl, "Judy" (isn't that a common dog's name?), for quite a while and then I just stopped cos I got bored of her lol.

เราก้มหน้าตามเสียงไปดู โอ้โห เข่าทรุดทันทีท่านผู้ชม เพราะเห็นไขควงที่ตะกี้นี้อยู่ในมือของญาติ ตอนนี้มันมาฝังตัวอยู่ตรงหน้าขาเรา ไม่รู้สึกเจ็บปวดใดๆ ทั้งสิ้น เพราะว่ามันชาไปหมดเลย เราหน้าซีดมากๆ ญาติก็หน้าซีด แล้วทำไมต่อรู้ไหมค่ะ อีญาติเรามันปั่นจักรยานไปร้านค้าที่ใกล้ที่สุดแล้วซื้อพลาสเตอร์มาแผ่นนึงกะโค้กใส่ถุงมาถุงนึง มาถึงก็จัดการดึงไขควง Kill Bill ออก (ก่อนหน้านี้เราจะดึงออกเอง แต่มือไม่มีแรงอะ) เอาพลาสเตอร์แปะแผลให้แล้วยื่นถุงโค้กให้ พลางบอกเราว่า "โน้ต อย่าไปบอกย่านะ เดี๋ยวพี่โดนตี พี่ซื้อโค้กให้กินแล้ว หยุดร้องไห้เร็ว " เป็นไงล่ะ ตอนนั้นด้วยความที่เป็นเด็ก เราจึงเห็นคุณค่าของโค้กมากกว่าสวัสดิภาพของตัวเอง เราก็พยักหน้าหงึกๆ ดูดโค้กไปพลาง อีกมือนึงก็เช็ดน้ำตาไปพลาง น่าสงสารเจงๆ ต่อมาแผลก็หายเป็นปรกติ โดยที่ไม่ได้ไปหาหมอใดๆ ทั้งสิ้น โชคดีนะที่ไม่เป็นบาดทะยักหรืออะไรร้ายแรง ไม่งั้นชั้นคงเลิกกินโค้กไปแล้น 555
- When I was living in Ayuthaya with my nan, there was this boy who was / still is my relative. One day I got back from school and saw him playing with a screwdriver in a backyard. Wanting to play with him, I went to stand in his way. He warned me not to stand there cos he was going to throw that screwdriver into the ground (odd game he played eh). I assured him it was ok cos he would miss me anyway. He warned me again and I started to insinuate that he was a coward for not doing it. Then I heard something, I looked down, the screwdriver, previously in his hand, was then drove into my thigh. Bull's eye I thought. The funny thing was he drove his bike to get me a band-aid and a bottle of Coke. When he came back, he gently pulled the screwdriver out of my thigh, put the band-aid on the wound, handing me the drink and telling me not to cry or tell nan about this. Well, when I was younger, Coke was such a nice bribe so. I shut up about the whole thing, the wound healed itself nicely. I learned my lesson: never taunt them big boys!

- I once split my eyebrow open at the bathroom sink cos I slipped while singing and dancing in there.

- ตอนอยู่ประมาณประถมปลาย เราเขียนจดหมายไปรายการ กล้าคิดกล้าทำ รู้จักปะ เขียนไปเองด้วยนะ ไม่ปรึกษาใครที่บ้านเลย ก็ไม่ได้คิดไรไง เขียนๆ แล้วก็ส่งเล่นๆ ไปตามประสาเด็กแก่แดด แต่ปรากฎว่าทางรายการติดต่อกลับมาบอกให้ไปออกรายการ เราเขียนไปว่าอยากเล่นสเก็ตน้ำแข็งไรเงี้ยะ จดหมายปัญญาอ่อนมากเลยอะ เขียนอะไรไปก็ไม่รู้และก็วาดรูปลงไปเลอะเทอะมาก ไม่รู้ว่าทำไมเค้าถึงเลือก ก็โอเคถึงแม้ว่าจะไม่ได้เรียนรู้อะไรมากเกี่ยวกะสเก็ตน้ำแข็ง ก็ถือว่าเป็นประสบการณ์ที่ดี เพราะได้ถ่ายรายการสวยๆ เชิ่ดๆ ให้แม่เราไปคุยข่มคนในซอยได้หลายวันเลยทีเดียว แต่เสียดายมากที่ไม่ได้อัดวิดีโอไว้ดู
- When I was about 10-ish, I wrote a letter to this children show saying I wanted learn how to ice skate. I didn't really expect them to pay me any attention cos the letter, as I remembered it, was an absolute mess. I wrote and drew a lot of silly stuff in it. Anyway, they did call me back and wanted me to appear in their show! It was a nice experience tho I didn't get to learn much about ice skating. I seemed to know more about the sport than the coach they paired me with. Too bad I didn't get a chance to tape it when it came out, oh well, no big loss.

- ก่อนที่จะสอบได้ทุนเต็มจำนวนขององค์การนักเรียนแลกเปลี่ยน YES เราเคยสอบทุนของ UCE (Universal Cultural Exchange) แต่เราได้ที่ 47 จากที่เค้ารับ 60 คน ด้วยความที่ถ้าไม่ได้ทุน ทางบ้านก็จะไม่ส่งไปเรียนเมืองนอก ดิชั้นจึงขวนขวายด้วยตัวเองทุกอย่างตอนขึ้นมอปลาย ทำให้ในที่สุดก็ได้ทุนจำนวน 3 แสนบาทไปเรียนที่แคนาดาสมใจ เรื่องนี้สอนให้รู้ว่าความสำเร็จเป็นของผู้ที่มีความมุ่งมั่น นี่ คนค้นคนสุดริด กู
- A couple of years before I won a scholarship from YES to study in Canada for a year, I applied for a scholarship at another organization but I ranked at number 47 out of 60. It meant that I had to pay for everything, which was impossible. However, I didn't let that fcuk with my desire to study abroad, I studied harder, all by myself, and finally I won the scholarship worth £4000. Success is for those who are determined.

- ตอนอยู่แคนาดา เราแอบชอบเพื่อนในห้องคนนึง แล้ววันนึงไฟรักมันสุมทรวงจนทนไม่ไหว เราแอบเขียนอีเมล์โดยใช้นามแฝงไปสารภาพรักกับเค้าโดยที่เราบอกเค้าไปว่าเราเป็นผู้ชาย สองสามวันต่อมาเค้าตอบกลับมาว่า "ถ้าเป็นผู้ชาย ก็อย่ามายุ่งกะเราเลย" แง๊ววว
- When I was in Canada, I had a huge crush on this guy. One day I decided to send him an anonymous email saying I'm a guy too but I like him. U know what he said? He said ''if ur a guy then just leave me alone" (!!). Lesson learned: you can't convert str8 guys by emails.

- เคยไปกดตังค์แล้วลืมหยิบตังค์ออกมาจากเอทีเอ็ม เพราะมัวแต่อ่านใบปลิวที่เค้าวางอยู่บนเครื่องอะ เสียไปฟรีๆ เลยสองพัน โง่เนอะ
- I once forgot to take 2000 baht (about £27) outta cash machine because I was so engrossed in a brochure on the machine - silly me.

-เราเป็นคนที่ชอบไปสวนสนุกและก็เล่นรถไฟเหาะกะเครื่องเล่นเสียวๆ ผาดโผนมากๆเลย มาสมใจนึกก็ตอนไปอังกิดเพราะได้ไป Drayton Manor กับ Thorpe Park และก็ EuroDisney ที่ปารีส เสียดายมากๆ ที่ไม่ได้ไป Alton Towers เอาไว้คราวหน้าแล้วกัน โอ้ย อยากให้เมืองไทยมีสวนสนุกที่มีเครื่องเล่นเจ๋งๆ บ้างอะ ไม่เอาเฮอริเคนนะ เบื่อโคตร

- I am a roller coaster/ thrill ride enthusiast, theme park junkie, adrenalin junkie, whateva you wanna call it. I was sorta fulfilled when I went to Drayton Manor, Thorpe Park (Forpe Park as some might say lol) and EuroDisney in Paris (tho its rides aren't quite as exciting). I'm really looking forward to visiting Alton Towers when I'm next in England.
